Youth Group Kickoff and Family Game Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 27 from 6p-9pm. Dinner will be provided. This is a night for everyone to come and have some fun, playing games and cards. Bring a favorite snack to share. More details coming. The Youth Group and parents will break away and meet for a brief meeting while others continue with games.
Special offering collected March 17 & April 21: A special offering has been planned to help grow the principle of the St. John Scholarship Fund. Students or adults of St. John pursuing continued education beyond high school may apply for this scholarship. Donations up to $5000 will be matched by a member of St. John. Your donations will be greatly appreciated. You can donate anytime just remember to note for Scholarship Fund.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: The Wayne County Community Foundation offers scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors, continuing college students and non-traditional students. You may apply for scholarships between December
15 and March 15 each year. Visit: www.WCCFOH.org for more information. By completing one application form, you will be considered for all opportunities for which you are eligible! Besides the St. John Scholarship Fund, mentioned above, be sure to look for the Jim & Ann Obrecht Scholarship which gives special consideration to members of St. John: Current or previous graduates of one of the following high schools: Triway, West
Holmes, Loudonville, and Hillsdale. Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling in a higher educational institution to further their career goals. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale, strong moral character, responsible work ethic, and participation in extracurricular activities, community service, and/or employment (including family farm or business). Financial need may be considered. Special consideration will be given to members of St. John Lutheran Church (McZena). This is a one year scholarship; however, previous recipients may reapply. Amount: $1,000.

- Weekly Lent Services are Wednesdays at 7p.m. Wednesday evening service locations are listed in the calendar
below. A weekly Lent devotion document is available in the Narthex for those who cannot attend. - Bag Lady Crafters: Anyone is welcome to join for a day of crafts, fellowship, fun, laughter, and food. The day starts
at 10a.m. and stay as long as you can. Craft dates are March 9 (Alt date is 3/16); April 13 (alt date is 4/20). - Building Committee Meeting: The next Building Committee meeting is Sunday 3/17 after worship.
- March meetings: Mutual Ministry and Council meetings will be held Tuesday, March 19. The date was changed to
avoid Holy Week. - Youth Group planning meeting: The next meeting to continue preparing for the Youth Group kickoff is Sunday,
March 24th, immediately after worship. Anyone interested in getting the Youth Group started are welcome to join. - Palm Sunday & Holy Week Services: All are listed in the calendar below.
Helping those in need: - For the Homeless: Some specific fall needs are: Long sleeved shirts, coats, warm socks and blankets.
- Food Pantry needs: Remember those in need and deliver directly to a Pantry of your choice.
o Loudonville Food Pantry: laundry soap, toothpaste, spaghetti sauce, boxed mashed potatoes
o Lakeville Food Pantry: shampoo, deodorant, soap, and toothpaste
