Thank Offering Collections: St. John Unit, WELCA will have their annual Thank Offering ingathering on Sunday Nov. 21 and 28. There will be a box for donations on the Welcome table marked Thank Offering on it.
Worship Service changes begin during Advent: Several changes will occur, starting with Advent on 11/28.
Midweek Advent Online Services will be during Advent, and available Tuesday evenings via FB and YouTube.
Advent Fair: There will be an Advent Fair on Saturday, December 11, from 9am – 1pm. More details will be coming soon.
Quiet Christmas Service: Tuesday, December 21st at 7pm online via St. John’s FaceBook and YouTube.
St. John Annual Meeting: The Annual Meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 7:00p.m. in case of inclement weather, a snow date of Sunday, Jan. 23 after worship was selected. More details will be coming soon.
Cheer Boxes: St. John Unit, WELCA will pack approximately 15 cheer boxes at their Dec. 8th meeting. Example of some items needed include: fruit, fruit & pudding cups, snack packs, candy, cookies, cocoa packs, body lotion, note pads & pens and small tissue packs. The meeting is December 8th, at 1:00p.m. All women are welcome.
Church basement reservations calendar: If you are interested in using reserving the Church Basement for an activity, place your name on the “reservation calendar” hanging on the bulletin board in the basement.
Helping those in need:
For the Homeless: The need to support this cause continues – collecting seasonal items, like mittens, hand warmers and socks. Nutritious treats, and hygiene items. The donation box is in the basement near the side door and also a monetary donation box is there also.
Food Pantry needs: Remember those in need and deliver directly to a Pantry of your choice.
Loudonville Food Pantry: Jelly, toothbrushes, toothpaste
Lakeville Food Pantry: Shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothpaste.
Christmas Eve Service: Friday, Dec. 24, 7:00p.m. If you ordered poinsettias, they can be taken home after this service.
Indoor Worship help needed: Volunteers are necessary to help during the weekly worship each week. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex for Lay Readers and Acolytes and contact Jared Sigler to help with worship video.
